Christmas

We are ready for Christmas this year! Avery still is not sure what to think of Santa but she understands presents!!! She has become a very sassy, bossy little girl. It is very crazy how much she is starting to look like an actual person, not a chubby fragile wobbly baby anymore. She is talking back wearing boot leg cut jeans telling me how cute her outfit is today! just very SILLY!! Hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Updated News

I didn't realize that the last time I posted was in July. WOW! a lot has happened since then. First of all Avery is going to be a big sister, around April 13th. We'll get to find if the baby is a little sister or a little bother. I promise to post it as soon as we know, which should be around Thanksgiving.
Avery is talking faster than she runs. The only time she is quiet is when other people are around and she pretends to be shy. I wish she would share her cute little voice with everyone else!!!

So Avery and I have been vacation for the past week. We have been to the aquarium, the beach and the Children's Museum. She loved the fishies at the aquarium and I know this because I heard the word Fishies about 5000 times. We found a spot at Wrightsville Beach that had little pools for her to splash and play in. Her favorite thing to do was find sea shells, we came home with a bucket full!!!! At the Children's Museum, there were soooo many things for her play with. We both were a little overwhelmed at first, but we took on everything they had for us to play with one at time! Each day ended with lunch, ice cream and a nap. Not a bad way to spend a vacation. Now it is time for the weekend to spend with daddy and let him on some of our fun.

So I have about 6mos of catching you up on all of the exciting things that have been going on. Avery is now running and talking our ears off. She is repeating and mimicking everything we do. (so now we really have to watch what we say and do) She loves to read books, play outside, eat chocolate and shop for shoes. She is all girl!!! She hated the snow we got this winter and loves sweet tea. Avery is my little southern bell, no yankee in her at all. She just gets sweeter and sassier by the day. Avery hates getting dirty and thinks it is a big deal when she touches a leaf or a flower. Shoes, Chocolate, Side (outside), Eat-eat and bye-bye are her favorite words. She loves elmo and dora. Jason bought her a pair of Dora crocks she refuses to take off, even though they're too big for her. She is coming into her own with a sassy, silly and sweet personality. Avery has been soooo much fun I can wait for the terrible 2's! I download most of her recent photos on my facebook account but I will post as many as I can to catch up. Sorry for the delay but we have been so busy.

Who's Been Naughty or Nice?!?!?

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I know it has been a very long time since my last post, but it has been very busy keeping up with a very busy, walking, talking 1year old. She does not stop, but we have too much fun. Avery is trying to talk and so far she can say ball, dog, and bubble (or what sounds like bubble). She has a got a southern draw, it is too cute.

Silly Girl

Well, we are on 1st Birthday Party Countdown. It doesn't seem possible already. Avery has grown leaps and bounds within the past month. She is eating what mommy eats, crawling faster than the speed of light, and getting more brave by the day trying to walk. She giggles when she is up to no good and chases chewie all over. (that poor dog is very tolerant) We took her to the beach today for the first time and she is very scared of the water, but loved to play with the seashells. Her new favorite food is ice cream, she can't get enough.

Finally

Avery has finally learned to crawl at 10 months old. She is still striving to walk though. She has not figured out that her knees bend, so she walks like frankenstein. It is too cute. I can't believe in less than 2 months she is going to be a year old. Where did the time go? I hope all is well with everyone and I will get some pictures up soon.

The Girls

We all got together to celebrate our friends' birthdays. The girls got a lot of play time together and, of course, it was the same ole story: what one had the other wanted, including passies. They are just too cute! Avery is trying to walk, she wants nothing to do with crawling. Avery "sings" and tells us lots of babble stories with a "ma-ma" here and a "da-da" there and "babababababa" a lot.

4th of July and others....

Avery was not feeling good on the 4th, but we still lit her first sparkler! She is trying to crawl (she can only go backwards), but she loves to pull herself up. Avery would rather stand than sit or crawl. Jason and I got her a walker that she is too short for, poor thing, but she loves to sit in it and play with the toys. She will be 9 months old this week, and the time has gone by way too fast. I know I keep repeating myself but - Oh My Goodness!!! It has gone by too fast! I am trying to figure out how to download a video because she loves to stand at her table and boogie. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Daddy got her a slinky to play with and she loves it!!! Gracie is soo big. She crawls really fast and wants to run as long as she has your fingers.

Our First Family Vacation

We headed to Tennesee to see Grandma and to show off Avery. We had such a good time and ate lots of Good Ole' country cookin. Avery was a trooper for a 9 hour ride. We did get to stay one night at the Lake but had to come home because Avery's cold got worse. She is much better now and things have returned to normal. Avery is 8 months old and she is full of it. She is a little chatter box with a HUGE personality. She is trying to figure out how to crawl; she'll get it slowly but surely. She would rather think about doing it than actually do it. Avery has just grown too big too fast.

Fun!!!!

We have the silliest girl ever! She loves for me to sing her ABC's; her favorite letters are "a" and "e". She sounds like "The Fonz" when she says "aaaaaaaaaaaaaa". Avery's lower teeth have popped thru but are to yet come up. She giggles a lot and likes to pull hair. In case you haven't noticed she is quite the little chunk. Avery is trying to move around- slowly but surely. Hope everyone has a great summer and We're off to KY in a coulple of weeks- Yeaaaaa a vacation!!!!

Its Been a Awhile

I know its been about a month since the last blog but it just seems like we can't catch up. We have been soo busy just doing something. Well this week I have off of work and Avery and I went to the park. It was her first visit. It took a little bit to figure out the swing and the slide but we had a lot of fun. Avery is jabbering on now, all we hear is dadadada and lalalala. Her first tooth finally popped up and the second one is not to far behind it. Avery is starting to roll over but she has to think about it before she does it. I hope all is well with everyone and we'll you Kentucky folk in a few weeks and boy are we excited.
